Since 2015, Matthew Janopaul has served as the Managing Director of Servco Pacific Capital (SPC) in San Francisco. SPC is the private equity arm of the largest private company in Hawaii, which has long-term partnerships with global brands such as Toyota, Lexus, Subaru and Fender Musical Instruments. In addition to crafting SPC's initial investment strategy, he personally hired the deal team tasked with executing the firm's strategic objectives. Matthew Janopaul also oversaw the investment initiative that led to the launch of a dedicated platform for Harley-Davidson dealerships throughout Asia and Australia.
In addition to his role with Servco, Mr. Janopaul serves on the Board of Trustees of the nonprofit Seven Hills School in Walnut Creek, California. As part of his work on the board, he was tasked with finding the next Head of School and spearheaded a two-year global selection process that ultimately resulted in the hiring of a well-known, seasoned independent school leader.
Prior to entering the private equity sector, Matthew Janopaul earned his BA in economics from Duke University and went to earn his MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, where he concentrated in strategy, finance, and entrepreneurship. Outside of work, he is active in various professional groups and holds membership in the Young Presidents’ Organization.
